When I'm on the assignment desk, I'm monitoring police scanners and social media feeds, coordinating interviews for reporters, and tracking developing stories as they evolve. As a producer, I build shows from start to finish. I write scripts, coordinate live hits, and manage timing from the booth.
At Fox 7, those skills added up to a 101% increase in multi-platform viewership. I also brainstormed and pitched ideas for new social media coverage and live streams, facilitating the creation of Austin Now, a new way for viewers to get updates in real time.
I graduated from Texas A&M with a B.A. in Spanish and spent a semester teaching English at the University of Alicante in Spain. I also did a five-week study abroad in Santiago, Chile, and hold a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate.
Outside of work, I paint, read, and thrift. I love spending time with my fiancé, Jim, and our pets, Pierre and Simba — and soaking up everything Austin has to offer.
